I love Baker Creek. This year I got my order in 4 days. Pretty amazing.
That’s great! I just love the history that comes with the seeds and feeling like I’m helping to preserve a bit of it. Can’t wait to get mine!
How are you so organized already???
Actually it will be time to plant before we know it, huh?
Lol, it was a fluke thing – I couldn’t sleep!
But yes, some things need to be started next month already. I think I’m going to have to build a shelf to hold more lights.

Do you notice any big different between growing heirloom vs hybrids? Just curious…I typically just go hybrid out of fear. 🙂 But if there isn’t a lot of extra work or disease, heirloom would be nice to grow.
Well, I haven’t grown many hybrids so I don’t know what I’m missing. I suspect I’ve dealt with more than my fair share of disease. As for the tomatoes, they’ve developed a problem the last two years. I’ve still taken in a decent harvest but I’d like to avoid the problems eventually. The sweet corn didn’t suffer from any disease but desperately needed some fertilizer or compost and it showed. That would have been the same with any corn though. The beans and peas did great, no difference at all. If I was having success with hybrids it would be hard to switch but I’m doing better every year so I’ll stick with the heirlooms.
Hi Jena,
Nice list!
Haven’t seen you around the blogosphere lately… hope all is well!
Aww, thanks! It’s nice to be “missed”. Don’t worry though, I’m around, just a little busy. 🙂

You are just TOO organized, Jena! You make the rest of us look bad!
Lol, well, a couple times a year I do things on time. 😉
